The Jones Floor Plan: Split-Level Comfort for Busy FamiliesIf you’ve been searching for a spacious, thoughtfully designed home in the Savannah, GA area, the Jones floor plan has long been a favorite reference point. This five-bedroom, three-bath home offered approximately 2,420 square feet of living space, blending flexible gathering areas with private retreats for every member of the family.
Light-Filled Main Level Living
The Jones was designed for those who love open, airy spaces. Its split-level layout placed the main living areas on the upper floor, where soaring 12-foot ceilings made everyday living feel bright and expansive. A formal dining room with a dramatic cathedral ceiling created a special setting for holidays and dinner parties.
The kitchen, breakfast nook, dining room, and family room all flowed together on this level, giving families an easy, connected way to cook, dine, and relax. An optional deck extended the living space outdoors for al fresco meals, casual entertaining, or quiet evenings under the stars. Buyers could also add an optional fireplace for a warm, cozy focal point.
Owner’s Suite and Secondary Bedrooms
The upper level of the Jones also featured the owner’s suite, complete with a large walk-in closet and a well-appointed bath with separate tub and shower. Two additional bedrooms, a full bath, and a conveniently located laundry room rounded out the main living floor, keeping daily routines efficient and organized.

Everyday Convenience and Curb Appeal
The Jones included a two-car garage with room for storage, and its classic brick exterior delivered timeless curb appeal. While this exact plan is not currently available, many of its most-loved features — split-level living, flexible lower-level spaces, and open main-floor gathering areas — can be found in other Ernest Homes designs.
