Employee Spotlight – Meet Colleen Fullerton!
At Ernest Homes, we know how important it is to trust the people you choose to build your family’s new home. Trust grows from connection — which is why we love introducing you to the dedicated, talented individuals who bring our homes to life. Today, we’re spotlighting someone who has grown alongside our company and now plays a vital role behind the scenes: Colleen Fullerton.
Many of our longtime homeowners remember Colleen as one of our exceptional Sales Agents. After excelling in that role, she transitioned to our Corporate Office, where she has spent the last seven years serving as our Estimator & Purchaser. Her deep customer-service background, paired with her ability to understand how families live in their homes, makes her an invaluable asset in selecting materials, evaluating costs, and helping shape each Ernest home from the ground up.
Colleen’s path to Coastal Georgia has taken her down the East Coast, beginning in Malone, NY, and moving through Massachusetts, Virginia, and Atlanta before settling in Richmond Hill, GA. She and her husband have been married for twenty-seven wonderful years (soon to be twenty-eight), and in 2009 they adopted their two daughters from Russia. Their blended family also includes her 35-year-old stepson, and their beloved pets — black lab Koko, jack russell terrier Luna, short-haired cat Sushi, and three lovely guinea pigs named Mocha, Oatmeal, and Latte.
Her personal experience with relocations, blended households, multigenerational living, and pet-friendly home needs gives her a unique perspective when estimating and purchasing for our homes. She knows firsthand the thoughtful details families rely on — and she brings that understanding to every plan, option, and materials selection she evaluates.
Colleen loves the warm winters and even warmer hearts she has found in the South. “People are so open and friendly,” she says. “I’m really looking forward to continuing to grow and contribute to my community.”
Her commitment to follow-up and her natural ability to find solutions were trademarks of her sales career, and they continue to shine in her corporate role. She believes in Ernest Homes’ dedication to craftsmanship and customization. “The quality of our homes is outstanding,” she says. “And our ability to customize for each family is what sets us apart.”
When asked which upgrades she still recommends today, Colleen smiles: marble tubs and showers, along with beautiful hardwood floors — timeless choices that elevate any home.
And for a fun glimpse into her personality, we asked her favorite question from her sales-agent days: What’s the most interesting thing in your garage? Her answer remains relatable to many homeowners: “Nothing special — but a whole lot of stuff!”
We’re grateful to have Colleen as a long-standing, trusted member of the Ernest Homes family — from guiding buyers to guiding our build process, her impact is felt in every home we create.
