Employee Spotlight – Meet Colleen Fullerton!
At Ernest Signature Custom Homes, we know how important it is to trust the people you choose to build your family’s new home. One of the building blocks of trust is knowledge – so we’d like to introduce our employees to you! We choose to work with some of the most likeable, talented and capable people in the Savannah, GA area. Once you get to know them a little bit better, we’re sure you’ll come to like them as well, and trust them and their expertise.
Today you’re going to meet one of our crackerjack Sales Agents, Colleen Fullerton, ABR, MRP. A seasoned agent with both an Associate Broker’s License and a Military Relocation Professional designation, Colleen has been a valuable member of our team for two years, almost the same length of time she’s been a resident of our area. She and her family settled in Richmond Hill, GA about two and a half years ago after following a long, winding trail down the East Coast.
Originally from Malone, NY, Colleen has also made her home in Massachusetts, Virginia, and Atlanta before landing in the Coastal Empire. For the last seventeen years she’s been happily married to a wonderful husband. (They’ll have their eighteenth anniversary this July.) They adopted their two daughters from Russia in 2009. Their family also includes her 25 year old stepson, her in-laws and Koko, their black lab. So if you’re looking for an agent who knows what it’s like to move across state lines, or one who knows about blended families, multi-generational families or the important features to look for in a home when you have pets, she’s a perfect fit for you!
Colleen loves the warm winters and warm hearts she’s found in the South. “People are so open and friendly!” she says. “I’m really looking forward to getting more involved in my community.” This Southern hospitality also makes it easy for her to accomplish her favorite part of her job; meeting new people and finding them a beautiful home. It also goes hand in hand with her secret for providing excellent customer service. “I think follow-up is the key. And you need to find the best way to answer a customer’s question whenever you can.”
A lot of the questions she answers deal with customizing homes, and this is an area where Colleen feels that Ernest Signature Custom Homes really shines. She believes that our ability to truly listen to our customers and to find out how to deliver the exact details that they want in their new home sets us apart from the competition. “The quality of our homes is really outstanding,” she says. “And unlike some other builders, we can truly customize your home for you.”
She also offers a tidbit of valuable advice to those purchasing new construction; to have patience. A truly unique home built to your exact specifications can’t appear overnight, although she’d love to be able to wave a magic wand and make it happen. And her favorite upgrades worth waiting for? Marble tubs and showers, and hardwood floors.
Lastly, we asked the super-secret question that really gives you the inside track on getting to know someone better – ‘What’s the most interesting thing in your garage?’ Colleen’s answer is probably similar to that of many of our readers. She replies; “Nothing special – but there sure is an awful lot of stuff stored in our garage!” We’re sure that’s yet another thing you and Colleen have in common!
