Settle into the Roanoke
Editor’s Note: The Roanoke floor plan is no longer part of the Ernest Homes collection. This post has been preserved for homeowners, researchers, and clients interested in our past designs.
At Ernest Homes, we’ve always believed in offering choices that help families create a home that truly reflects their lifestyle. The Roanoke was one of our most flexible two-story designs, available in two variations that offered different layout options to suit a variety of needs.
Roanoke A – Family-Friendly Space and Smart Design
The Roanoke A featured five bedrooms and approximately 2,570 square feet of thoughtfully planned living space. Its layout supported busy family routines with two full baths, a convenient powder room, and a dedicated breakfast nook for quick morning meals.
The kitchen included a spacious island, double sinks, energy-efficient appliances, and a roomy pantry, all flowing into a full dining area. A generous family room—optionally designed with a cozy fireplace—offered a comfortable place for evening relaxation.
Homeowners also appreciated the first-floor flex room, used commonly as a home office, study space, gym, or creative nook. The flexibility of the Roanoke allowed families to personalize the space to match their lifestyle.
Comfortable Primary Suite & Convenient Second Floor Layout
The Roanoke A’s primary suite offered a peaceful retreat with a sitting area, large soaking tub, oversized shower, dual sinks, and ample closet space. All bedrooms were located upstairs alongside a convenient second-floor laundry room—making everyday tasks easier.
Buyers could also choose an optional loft for additional sleeping space, storage, or a private hangout area.
Roanoke B – Open Concept Living with Flexible Rooms
The Roanoke B variation shifted the emphasis to a more open main floor, removing the separate dining room and office to create a larger, highly adaptable living space. This version included four bedrooms upstairs along with a spacious secondary living area that worked well as a playroom, media room, family library, or game room.
The versatile layout gave homeowners the freedom to create the perfect setup for gatherings, hobbies, or children’s activities.
Exterior Features & Personalization Options
Both Roanoke models included a two-car garage, covered entryway, and back patio. Exterior personalization options such as brick, siding combinations, and carriage-style garage doors allowed homeowners to make the home uniquely theirs.
Although the Roanoke is no longer available, Ernest Homes continues to design and build beautiful, functional homes throughout Coastal Georgia. To explore our current floor plans, amenities, and communities, visit our floor plan collection or reach out to our team for personalized guidance.
